Shavette: Antiga Barbearia de Bairro
Blade: Derby Professional
Soap: Black Tie Razor Company No. 13
Brush: Omega boar hair
Post shave:, witch hazel, PAA alum, British Sterling aftershave.
My first impressions of the Black Tie Razor Company No. 13 unscented soap ... unscented? Why would any one want an unscented soap? Perhaps this soap was made for the individual that plans on this soap being the only soap in the den and more of a scent focus on the aftershave and or the cologne. Maybe for that person that is concern about the scent of the soap being in conflict with the scent of the aftershave or those that may be sensitive the oils that are used to create the scent, but I can say ... I couldn't smell it. The shave with this soap was different in that the slickness was unique in what I have experienced before. It is a different kind of slickness and difficult for me to describe. The slickness is unique to me and I liked it. I think I'll work this soap into the rotation in a couple of weeks to see if I still feel the same way. All in all the soap left me with a good first impression.Stay cool and smooth shaves.
