Shavette: Luxor Pro
Soap: Van Der Hagen
Brush: Omega boar hair brush
Post shave:, witch hazel, PAA alum, Old Spice with Cremo beard balm.
Morning shave with the Van Der Hagen Luxury soap that was whipped up with the Omega boar hair brush, The Luxor Pro shavette had a DE Personna blade in it that was snapped in half. This mornings shave had no nicks or cuts. So if you are wondering about this soap, well I feel that it would need to put in the price point class that it is in to make it fair. If you shaving on a small budget this is a good way to go but not the only way. The kit that I got this in at the store came with a brush (that my stepson is using) luxury soap, brush & razor stand and mug for $25. I would say that not a bad start. The replacement soap runs about $3.88 at the store .... so I know what you are thinking ... Italian Barber is near the same price point but Van Der Hagen can be found in stores for those that really need to put their eyes and hands on it. Van Der Hagen isn't a bad place to start for those that just want to walk into a store and pick up what they need to get started without having to order online. Your mileage may vary. (YMMV) Stay safe and smooth shaves.
