Shaver: Focus Slim Al
Blade: Feather half DE
Soap: Stirling Lime
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip
Post shave:, witch hazel, PAA alum, Lime Sec and PAA Malbolge beard oil.
This morning's shave was the second use with the Focus Slim Al and the first use of the Feather DE blade snapped in half. The other half of the blade will be used tomorrow. This shavette is one of my favorites. Here's some of my reasons: balance, ease of finding the angle, ease of loading the blade, ease of cleaning and variety of colors. Ease of loading the blade ... it is easier to load a precut blade versus a blade that was snapped in half. The bent ends makes it a little tougher but still doable. I think for tomorrow's shave I will try to cut the bent end off and see how that works for me. I only got one small nick while using the feather blade. I noticed it when I was using the alum block so it was a small one but the size didn't hinder the alum block from finding it.
The soap performed as expected and the scent is straight forward lime that is noticeable through out the shave per my nose. The RazoRock brush that I used today is Chris Bailey approved and the handle can also be used as a magnifying glass for the old eyes. It seems that the synthetic knots are almost as bad as electronics ... they are constantly being improved at a rapid pace ... for me, these knots makes it hard to buy natural ones. Like the Focus Slim Al, they perform great and are easy to clean. Well my time has ran out so stay safe and smooth shaves.
