Mason Boutique Josephine, Mac Metalworks Slant and British Sterling.

Sunday, January 29, 2017
Shaver: Mac Metalworks Slant
Blade: Personna Red
Soap: Mason Boutique Josephine
Brush: Mac Metalworks  24mm
Post shave:, witch hazel, PAA alum, British Sterling and PAA Malbolge beard oil.

Sunday Morning shave with the Mac Metalworks Slant with Josephine topped off with British Sterling. The Personna Red blade was on it's first use. This slant head (three piece razor) was on a different handle but when I picked up this brass handle, I knew that I wanted the slant head with this brass handle. The original red handle is now paired with a slant head from RazoRock German 37 set for next Sunday's slant shave. This head and handle combination worked well together. After the first pass, the beard reduction was significant which left very little. The next two passes would be better described as "pick ups". I think this combination will remain together.
Mason Boutique Josephine is a woody's type of scent per my nose. This is the fourth soap that I have from Mason Boutique and the performance of the soap has been consistent. Easy to lather and provides enough slickness for a comfortable shave.  Jennifer has been working with Frank from Strike Gold Shave to make the next soap in Frank's Presidential line of soaps, Hoover, with a classic scent of Skin Bracer.  Stay safe and smooth shaves.
