Shaver: Muhle R41
Blade: Feather (2)
Soap: DeLuxe Mods
Post shave:, witch hazel, PAA alum, Strike Gold Shave McKinley aftershave and Van Yulay Smokey Mountain Whiskey beard oil.
This morning's shave was with the Muhle R41 Rosegold with a Feather blade on it's second use. The first use was last Sunday with the Edwin Jagger R35611SR , someone said it looked like it was ready to lay eggs so that one. That razor does have a big handle. The Muhle R41 Rosegold measures in at 3.7 inches and weighs in about 2.36 ounces. Once the blade has been installed, one thing to notice is that there is no blade over hang. That will be a plus for some folks. I think is a beautiful razor and I don't think my picture does it justice. I'll try to work on that this week. This razor may make a person think about the preshave routine and post shave routine a bit more than other DE razors. This razor didn't feel as aggressive as I had imagined but more efficient. I can see getting a BBS shave with this razor with very little effort. A very nice razor.
DeLuxe Shaving Mods lathered up quite nicely with the 24 mm DeLuxe brush. I would have to say that since I got a smooth shave with this soap that it has nice cushion. The alum block had very little to report back on. The shave was followed up with Strike Gold Shave Wilson ... nice scent and feels good on my face. I will be shaving with this razor thru Friday, to see if this razor could be someone's daily driver. Stay safe and smooth shaves.
